Dear, Dear, Dear Tinkers,

I just HAVE to write and tell you all again, what a Fantastic, Bombastic
weekend we had, at the Celtic Faire in Calaveras! And to have been able to
catch you playing 5 shows in one weekend, (6, if you count the tune you
played with the blacksmith! What a priceless rendition that was! I wish I
could have gotten it on video tape, but we did manage to get a photo. ) the
whole event was great, but you three were the Greatest!
You are the most awesome power trio since Jimi Hendrix Experience! I
went home feeling so euphoric that I will be up for days! I feel like
Cinderella after the Ball, and I even got to take the Prince home with me,
instead of waiting for him to chase me around with some damn shoe! Thank
you again, for your part in making a great weekend, FANTASTIC. We would not
even had gone that weekend at all if we had not known that you would be
playing there. What a pleasure!
Did you any of you ever think about how much joy and pleasure that you
spread around, wherever you go? Do you realize that this practicaly makes
you all Saints, no matter HOW WICKED YOU MAY BE? Just don't stop. I know
I'm not alone in saying I LOVE IT!
Hope to see you'all again soon, till then: "Rock On!"

Best Wishes from Marybeth & Billy,

Hey!
Just wanted to drop you a line, and say that I was very impressed with
your performance at the Caleveras Celtic Faire. I bought one of ye
tapes, and would have bought the CD, except that I had to save money for
food. (They charge an arm and a leg for food, didn't advertise the
parking cost, and discontinued the student price after advertising it on
the net. Since I am a impoverished student... I was hatin it.) I all
but forgot about the transgressions at the gate, however, when I found
out that you guys were performing, and rushed to find a seat. We (my
fiancee and I) opted for the pit, however, instead of the chairs. (all in
good lower-class tradition) My fiancee's son (the little 4yo in the
blackwatch tartan at the noon show) loved your playing so much he got up
and twirled around all over in front of the stage, much to the amusement
of your audience (ye might have noticed?) Anyway, I just wanted to let
ya'all know that I loved your show, and would buy all sorts of Tinker
stuff if I could afford it.

ye got me hooked,

-Tim Simpson

PS: I am curious as to just how much it costs to book the Tinkers for a

Had a wonderful time at the Calaveras Celtic Fair. Can one have a bad time?
This was our third year and we plan on going back. We enjoyed your music very
much. We did think of another group (not Celtic) that we like very much
called the Edlos. Their theory is "Loud Is Good", which is the name of one of
their albums. We hope to catch you at a concert soon. Will you be going back
to the Calaveras Celtic Fair? Also will you open for Men of Worth (another of
our favorite groups).

Hello Aaron,

I'm sorry that I did not get a chance to talk to you, however I did get my hands
on the Wicked Tinkers CD. I finally removed my aging BrOtHeR CD from the player
and replaced it with the WT's. This is the type of music I have been searching
for, just drums and pipes (and an occasional didgeridoo).

As of this date you are the most awesome piper I have had the pleasure of
listening to (and that's no shit) and I have finally solved the mystery of who
was piping for Forest for the Trees. At age 40, I have just started learning how
to play the pipes and trying to organize a bagpipe band for our fire department
in Orange County. (unfortunately we have had to play two funerals in recent
months). Anyway, I admire your unique style of playing (perfection with
feeling?) , something that I would like to add to my playing ability but I don't
have 20 years to learn. So how about some lessons???

My wife and I are looking forward to the Wicked Tinkers next gig at the Farmers
Market in December, see you there....

Hello,
Just wanted to say you guys are great, my wife and I saw you at the Age of
Chivalry Renaissance & Celtic Festival in Las Vegas. We stayed for the
concert and you guys were by far the best band on the stage that night. We
purchased your new CD and the "Banned" tape, the tape obviously for "The
Bonny Black Hare". I still can't believe they made you take it off the CD. I
hope you guys come back next year.

Peace,

I've just about worn out the new CD since Sunday. I'm driving everybody at
work crazy with Pumkin's Fancy!!! Do you guys have a cassette of the new
CD, or is one planned? I got Warren's e-mail about the schedule. It looks
great - wish we could be in Chino this weekend.

I noticed your website was designed by Warren. It's really good. Do you guys
have a permanent WebMaster? If not, I'd love to volunteer. I'd be pleased to
do any updates etc for you guys - It's my job here, but I enjoy playing
around with sites in my "free" time, and I'd be glad to help in any way I
can - again, I mean voluntarily!

Let me know, and have a great time in Chino.

After spending 6 years playing trad (and sometimes BAD) pipeband music, due to
disgust with my fellow bandmates who didn't feel the need to practice, and my
new job, I am out of the loop, so to speak. Your site looks like fun! Do you
have any snail mail stuff you can send? My computer is old and slightly lame,
and I can't print your page. My address is Debra Greenland, .
My son Kevin, who is 18, has been playing since he was 7.
Competed and did well twice. He got sick of the pipeband
political/egotistical bull, plus he got too cool. He plays bass guitar (and
built it, too) very well. He is thinking about getting back into piping, but
feels the music is repetitious and boring at times. Somehow, I don't think
your interpretations of the music will be. I'm curious. Send what you can,
please. Thanks!

Hey guys!

Great CD. I actually enjoyed listening to an entire disc of Scottish Bagpipe
Music! Bagpipe recordings can get a bit, shall we say, tedious? But not
yours! The piping is, of course, superb, but also the tune selection was cool
(I especially like the 'Odd Set'); the tone you got for the War Pipes was
much more full than is generally the case; and the drum accompaniment was
very cool; and there was even some small pipes and yelling to make it
complete.

Very good!

C'Ya again Soon!
